The Gwinnett (Casual) Dinner Party Meetup

Staying IN is the new going out! Do you ever complain about how hard it is to make friends once you're all grown up? We want to hang out with people that have similar interests to our own. This includes; barbeques, good food, beer and wine tastings, idle chat, and geeking out with games (board games and xbox-type TV games.) Jerry loves to cook, and doesn't do it nearly enough. He's looking forward to having folks over to try his stuff! He also brews his own beer and there's generally plenty to go around. I'm a "vegaquarian" (vegetarian who eats seafood.) We both love ethnic food, red wine and trying new things. Before signing up, please keep these preferences in mind: 1. Mature adults only (preferable 30+.) We enjoy getting our buzz on, but we don't want to turn this into a messy frat party. 2. Kids are cool and we like to have them over. But this meetup is for adults only. Please get a sitter. (Don't YOU deserve a night to socialize?) 3. Please be willing to host dinner at your own house occasionally.We love having people over, but it sure is nice being invited to someone else's place too. And gee, isn't it great to stay IN for a change?

You're invited to the first meetup! I know it's late and off-the-cuff, but we generated a little interest, and if only a few peeps show up, that's fine. The whole point of this meetup is to make new friends anyway!
MENU UPDATE: We'll be having cous cous paella with shrimp (and scallops if I can find a decent deal.)
