One of our favorite bands Mystic Bowie is going to be playing at Monster B's on Friday the 21st. Event though it's a month away I want to get it on the calendar. If you haven't seen Mysitc Bowie before you are in for a great night, they play a mix of reggae, ska and funk. We can meet at the bar for some drinks, apps and great conversation. The starts around 930pm!

Here is there website if you want to check them out

Join us for an informal Happy Hour gathering at Monster B's in Stamford. Located next to the Glenbrook train station, Monster B's has 30 beers on tap and 200 bottled beers from around the world!
There's a band that starts at 10, for those that want to hang out and listen to some music. Let's meet in the area by the bar and take advantage of $3 pints before 8, and then decide if we want to get a table or just continue to hang out.
Look forward to seeing you all there!

Hey everyone!

How does the afternoon at the SONO Arts Festival Sound? We will plan to meet for lunch at Sono Seaport Seafood I have reserved a table on the deck for 12 people at 12:30pm. If more people are interested I can adjust the reservation accordingly. After lunch we can head out to the festival where there is live music and booths setup. I would recommend parking at the Maritime Aquarium (just a short walk) and that way you can leave your car there will while we walk around.

I do ask that everyone kindly be considerate for their RSVP as the restaurant is going to counting on the number we tell them.

Not exactly for everyone but I wanted to put something on the calendar. I am the organizer of the Fairfield County Motorcycle Riders and we have an event (a bike ride) from Stamford into Litchfield county. If anyone in this group is a bike rider you are more than welcome. I will be riding with Jola as usual.

If the organizer finds this entry to be a problem, please feel free to remove it. Couples are strongly encouraged!

Relaxing with good food, conversation and cocktails on a lazy Sunday afternoon is even better when the polo ponies are at play.

So come join us for the polo match on Sunday July 6th in Greenwich. It runs from 3 to 5, but let's get there at 2:30 to enjoy some hors d'oeuvres ahead of time.

We request that each couple bring an appetizer type food or finger food plus a bottle of wine to share with others (If you plan on attending, please state in your RSVP what you will bring to avoid duplication). We will provide a big table, paper plates, napkins and cutlery, but please bring your own wine or cocktail glass and a blanket/lawn chair to sit on.

The cost is $30 per car so carpool if you can. Kids and dogs are welcome per grounds policy, but we request that if you attend as part of this meet up to leave your dogs at home as some people are allergic, kids are scared and it just seems like a better idea.

We will set up the table on the far side of the bandstand. When you drive onto the grounds the bandstand is on your left. Just beyond it is a small shady tree area where we will be. Not a lot of people bring big tables so it should be an easy guess who and where we are.

In the event of rain, on the date or heavy the night before the match will be canceled. There is another match the following weekend, but we cannot attend. We can consider the 13th a rain date for this event, but would need someone else to step in and do the basics as we will not be around that Sunday.

Conyers Farm is located on the Greenwich CT/Banksville NY border on North Street in Greenwich. For all the information/directions, etc. go to www.greenwichpolo.com

Hope to see you there ?

We're hosting an informal wine tasting at Olga and Rob's house in Stamford. Because it's warm out, we thought that wines in the pinot family might be a nice choice.
It would be great if each couple could bring:
One bottle of pinot noir costing less than $20
One bottle of pinot grigio costing less than $20
An appetizer or dessert to share with the group

We'll do our best to log each wine and then do a blind tasting. A list of all the wines that we try will be e-mailed out to the group after the event.

Jola and Charles will host a BBQ at their home on Staurday. This is a last minute posting (sorry!) as it replaces our old one (wine and cheese). Sorry for the short notice.

A few of our friends will be visiting already and they are in their mid 30s to early 40s. This will be a casual gathering, looking to relax/chill/chat. Mix of outdoor/indoor. Pool could be an option if the weather and pool guy cooperate.

The same invite was extened to the Wine Dine Guide Westchester Meetup with a 6 people limit and they are fully booked. JUST FYI. Looks like we will be around 15 so far.

I have been asked what to bring, bring whatever you like to drink/share/introduce the group to. Wine and Martinis will be there.

At our last Meetup, I spoke to some of you about organizing a Kickball Game & BBQ at Cove Island. I called the city of Stamford, and the softball fields are reserved for the Babe Ruth Girls League - however, they said that the field in the middle of the park should be big enough for us to set up bases and play a game. Based on the number of people that respond - we can organize a kickball game. Otherwise, we can just bring some frisbees, softballs, and hang "summer camp" style.

There are coal BBQs at Cove Island - so once we get some numbers, we can split up the food and plan a big BBQ dinner. If the weather holds out - this is going to be a fabulous time!

Rain Date - Sunday May 3rd.

Note: Permits are not required for Cove Island as it is before Memorial Day.
