Let's get together for a "couple" of hours and have a simple meal, enjoy good conversation and company and have some silly fun. We will be playing the Original Trivial Pursuit game or some other popular game you bring. Teams will form randomly- no talent needed because we're just gonna have some fun. Are you with me? The plan: Please post which you will bring so we have the right amount. I hope to start the game by 8:00 pm after we have eaten dinner. Address will be sent out the Wednesday before the event. Our house is in Yorba Linda near the 91 freeway. PLEASE NO FLAKES! You will be asked to confirm your attendance the week before. If you do not, you will be removed. This event will take place at a private residence so there's only room for so many people and I need to know how much salsa and chips to get. Please honor your RSVP or drop out as soon as you know you won't make it so other couples can be added. Thanks |

Let's try this again. I missed this last time - I want to post it again. Join us for an nice visit to one of our beatutiful nature parks herein Orange County. The Nature Center is a 58 acre natural park snuggled in the Anaheim Hills area. There is a stream year round that wanders through the park. There are several canyons; hiking/walking trails that wind around the oak woodland and coastal sage trees. One of the few remaining areas like this. Beginner: 2 mile hike is ideal for beginner or out of shape hikers. Starting on a self-guided trail, there are many native plants. Connecting to the Roadrunner Ridge which runs west to East along the north side of Oak Canyon. This trail has some uphill walking. Then we will meet the main road and walk beside the stream along a shaded paved road. We could see wildlife and many native trees. Crossing a bridge we reach the Stream Trail's dense oak area. Bird lovers will enjoy the various songs of many types of birds. We will stop at the John J. Collier Interpretive Center to visit the small museum featuring live native wildlife and natural history exhibits. Those who are more experienced hikers/walkers can continue on another 2 miles. Tranquility trail will take you up into a hilly and exposed sunny area. Wren way to Bluebird Lane and back to main road makes a circle back to the center. After the hike, we will go have a drink and appetizers at a local restaurant. Those who want to have an early dinner can do that also. Beginner hike/walk takes about 1 -1/2 hours with a beginners pace. It's another hour for the advanced hikers to complete the loop. Bring 1-2 liters of water, a snack if you would like, tennis or hiking shoes, sunscreen and of course your camera. Please be aware that this is an exploratory hike, not a professional hiking event. Know your limits, and stay with a buddy at all times. There can be risks hiking - tripping, falling, bee stings, poison oak exposure. Just be alert and aware as we hike/walk. Directions to the parking lot: Parking is free Turn left on Nohl Ranch Rd. about 3/4 to a mile I have a dirty green Subaru sedan Let me know if you have questions. Nancy 714-402-0202 |

One of my favorite places for Chinese food is in Orange. Yen Ching has the best food I have ever had, sizzling rice soup is wonderful, entrees are delicious along with good service, nice atomsphere it's a winner in my book. WE can get a family dinner and share or do individual ordering per couple. Please bring cash so we can figure the bill out easily. Please join John and I plus other couples from the OC Couples group for dinner. After dinner those who want to keep the evening going can join us at a movie in the Main Place Mall. I figure maybe an 8:30 or 9:00 pm movie. I will check out the movies that week and we can talk about which one to go see at dinner. Looking forward to seeing you all and meeting some new couples. Let's go kayaking, easy to do, fun, relaxing way to be on the water and cruise by the beautiful homes in Naples. I will be there at 8:45 am - we will rent some kayaks, go out for and hour or two depending on the interest. After Kayaking we can have an early lunch at one of the wonderful restaurants along the Blvd. We have a lot of new members and this would be a great way to meet and get to know them. If you are not into Kayaking, you can still come down the the beach area, bring a blanket, a book or just hang out on the beach until we come back from the Kayaking. Or you can meet us for lunch and socialize. Belmont shores has many cute little boutique shops, restaurants, Bars so after lunch we can stroll 2nd street and check out the end of summer sales. Sounds great, huh guys. You can stop in a bar and have some beers with the other guys while the ladies peruse the shops. :) I hope you will take this opportunity to spend some time with us - there is not limit on this event so anyone can join in. The more the merrier. Hope to see you soon Nancy & John. 714-402-0202 |

Caroline had to cancel as hostess of this second location game night, but I can host instead. Please sign up asap and I'll send out my address in Long Beach (Belmont Shore area) on Friday. We live in Long Beach (Belmont Shore area) with our dog Tiger (so if you are allergic beware). He will be outside if he is being naughty. I'll be serving lasagna (meat and meatless). We will play Cranium or Apples to Apples, depending on group vote. We look forward to meeting some new friends and having a great time! |
